My submission for *Okura's Comic Contest! ( [link] )

Based off the last panel on Page 6 of his Rings of Time comic. ( [link] )

This is what I've been busy with on and off for the past 2 months, wouldn't have been able to finish this if it weren't for the time extension. Experimented with quite a few new things here, most prominently would be textured brushes. The cavern walls would've looked a lot less rocky than they were without them. I've got more to say, but I'll spare the details as I'm rather lazy now. :P

The GIMP, 40+ hours on and off, 20 layers (10 visible), original size 5000x3750. (Pushing the limits of my computer there, crashed the GIMP 6 times or so because I ran out of memory. :oops: )

I have to gree with the person above me, amazing reflection. I really like the look of the textured brushes you used. I think it helps add depth to the picture. And I'm really loving the darker colors, it makes the crystal and Tiare's belly really stand out. Excellent work!

That is fantastic... all the crazy details in the background are wicked, and really look like they took forever! The crystal is amazing too, all around this is fabulous!

Nice work, especially the way you've coloured the crystal to give it that glassy quality precious stones have.

This piece reminds me a bit of the old Mega drive game Echo the Dolphin.

That really, really reminds me of this very old computer game I had where you played as a Dolphin and swam into caves and stuff, and I think there was something to do with diamonds or jewels...

Anyway, love this picture, the lighting especially. The whales look both realistic and happy.
